While on board a passenger jeepney yesterday from work, one of my co-passengers looked intently on something on the road. Following where she was staring this is what I saw:
An advertisement of a brand of noodles. But this is no ordinary adverisement locally where people stand on the streets wearing a poster or a banner like a backpack, standing under the heat of the sun. (time check 1000 hrs , GMT +8)
After a while, the two men switched positions. Since another of my co-passengers noticed me took a picture of them earlier, he then told me to take another picture which I did.

Advertisements similar to this are not entirely uncommon around us but rarely under the heat of the sun , smoke and air pollution in the middle of the street. You can find them inside the malls or around shopping areas to entice consumers to try their products.

I wonder how boring and uncomfortable it would be to stand here for several hours switching places every now and then. If it rains do they still stand there with their umbrellas do do they run to the dry sidewalks?

Atleast they have cellular phones to tinker with or maybe they have some interesting jokes or stories to talk about. Or do they end up counting vehicles?

Shops and Shopping

When visiting other countries or provinces, it has been one of the many activities that people do: to SHOP for souvenir items that will remind them of their stay in that particular place. Also it has been our custom to bring back goodies to our family and friends.

I am not exempted from that custom.
As I shop around, I also took pictures of anything that I may not buy.

...well, i didn't took pictures of the things I bought (I think).

Duty Free or Free Duty?

This is inside HKIA Terminal 1 between gates 41-50
wall scrolls and paintings along Ladies Market, Mongkok

Aside from personal goods, pet accessories, toys and treats are also available here

Stuff toys, clothes, etc. in Ocean Park. Didn't get a chance to buy a souvenir shirt coz size of the design i liked was out of stock.

Slippers and other goodies...

How about a panda bear?

paintings and portraits along Victoria Harbour...

Ah, my mother rummaging through the silk pillowcases in one of the shops at The Peak.

Aren't theses japanese dolls?
(don't mind the inscription at the bottom. it's for the items at the bottom of the shelf)

and more of these dolls...

and more.

Chess set. Grab this one if you have the budget.

or this set for a more comical appeal.
Aside from such a nice display, of course you can actually play chess here.

or these figurines? Just make sure you wrap them so that i will not break when you get back home.

shirts for HK$35 each or 3 for HK$100...

(there's a cheaper place where you can get 5 per HK$100.
Those blouses are actually pricey.)

framed items and jars: Can you take them home with you without excess baggage?
You can also find these tags or signs that are sometimes amusing when translated.
And if you are into kink stuff like these costumes and novelty items, you can also find these here.

Bags, shirts, blouses and more for a cheaper price

5 shirts per HK$100, so desu yo!

Aside from these shops, there are thousands of places where you can shop. Sometimes
some items can only be found in a specific store or location, sometimes it can be found everywhere. But when shopping, shop smart so that you can get the best value.

So how do you like your medications?

oral suspension and syrup?

balls

I was tinkering with the features of my camera,
trying to discover what the outcome will be.
I used three cat toys (balls) nearest to where I was sitting as my subjects.
focus: nearest ball

focus: red ball

focus: the farthest ball

Travels

Either under the shade or the sun and surrounded by tall facades,

or indoors through a glass wall or window.

Swim!

With my passion for the waters, I love to go for a swim. This became my regular routine to keep me physically fit. Now my complexion suffers (LOL).
This is one of the best forms of exercise: cardio, flexibility, coordination, endurance, more...
I love this pool during rainy days, there's less people thus, less pool traffic. ;-P

weekend of everything that flies.

12TH HOT AIR BALLOON FIESTA
Clark, Pampanga

There are a number of things to do. Number 1 is to have fun
Take a picture of you and your friends' shadow.
Take a picture cheek to cheek with the missiles.
Take a picture with the planes at the background.
Ride a boat.
Watch from afar as they inflate the balloons that did not really flew coz of the wind.
Pose with the sniper ammunition and pretend to fire.
Watch celebrities perform onstage. You missed Ara Mina!
Watch them play with fire and spend energy.

Watch people fly kites, learn to fly a kite and fly a kite.

Or ride a tank or a jeep. eat at the booths, have a temporary tattoo, buy something, stroll and do anything as slong as it is allowed. But don't forget to have fun!!!

This happens only once a year, usually in February.
